The Gold Mine has recently made the purchase of the most powerful laser welder specially designed for jewelry applications. Store owner, Bill Warren recently traveled to Lafayette, LA to look at the all new, Rofin Starweld machine imported from Germany. He discovered that this new laser technology would great enhance his customer’s repair work and his custom design capabilities.
Jobs that at one time needed to be sent off can now by completed in the store in a matter of minutes. The Gold Mine has also went after eyeglass repair with several local eye clinics since welding a broken eyeglass frame is now a breeze!
No job is too complicated, not even replacing the prongs on a delicate opal, emerald or pearl ring which has often been a nightmare for most jewelry stores! Warren happily says, “We’ve always had a robust repair business but this new laser puts us in a class all our own.
